§ 1 General Information

This policy outlines how happyfloat UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Bahnhofstr. 34, 96450 Coburg, email: contact-funfix@happyfloat.com, processes personal data related to the FUN FIX mobile app.

§ 2 Data Collection and Use

(1) FUN FIX collects the following personal data:

• Mandatory: Avatar, Username, Online status, Last active timestamp
• Optional: First name, age, gender, language, birthdate, "About me"
• Device Information (automatic)
• Location (selected region)
• Account details (email address, Google or Apple account information) when users optionally upgrade their accounts

(2) Data is collected through anonymous registration or optionally upgraded login methods (email, Google, Apple).

(3) Online status and last active timestamp (showing activity within the last 72 hours) are collected when you use the app. This information is visible to other users in the app and on the website. Currently, there is no option to opt-out of sharing this information; an opt-out feature is planned for a future update.

§ 3 Purpose of Data Collection

Collected data is used exclusively for account management, matching, enhancing user experience, and app functionality.

§ 4 Data Sharing and Disclosure

Data is shared with third parties only when essential (e.g., Firebase authentication, Firebase Crashlytics), legally mandated, or with explicit user consent.

§ 5 AI-Driven Matchmaking and Pseudonymization

(1) During group matchmaking we apply strict pseudonymization procedures to protect your identity.

(2) Your internal user ID is replaced by a generic label (e.g., "user_1", "user_2") for the duration of the matching process.

(3) The temporary mapping between the pseudonym and the real account exists only while the algorithm runs and is deleted immediately after matching is complete.

(4) Each new matchmaking session creates new pseudonyms; consequently, "user_1" in one session may represent a different person in another.

(5) After the mapping is deleted it is technically impossible to re-identify you from the data used by the AI. No sensitive information is retained beyond what is necessary for matchmaking.

§ 6 Data Retention

Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary to provide services or as required by law. Chats and matches are temporarily stored but may persist for up to 12 months for enhanced app functionality, after which they may be transformed into optimized journal entries. These journal entries can be made public for promotional purposes.

§ 7 User Rights

Users have rights to:

• Request access to their data
• Correct incorrect data
• Delete personal data
• Restrict or object to data processing

§ 8 Data Security

FUN FIX employs strict technical and organizational measures, including anonymized data handling and secure matching processes, to safeguard user data.

§ 9 Changes to Privacy Policy

FUN FIX may update this policy as necessary. Users will be notified about significant changes.
